Design Council is inviting proposals to deliver research exploring the social, environmental and economic value of design to the UK. Through a series of three tenders, we are seeking to commission research organisations or consortia to deliver one or more work packages set out below.
The details of each work package can be found in their respective invitation to tenders. These should be read in conjunction with the application requirements outlined in the document. This document should be read in full before submitting a response.
The work packages and links to the relevant invitation to tenders are as follows:
• : The Scale, Scope and Economic Value of the Design Economy
• : Social and Environmental Impact Framework
• : Business Use and Understanding of Design
Proposals can be submitted to undertake one or more of these work packages. In your application, please specify clearly which work packages you are applying to undertake, following the guidelines set out below. Those interested in submitting multiple work packages are only required to make a single application.
If you are interested in applying for this tender, please email bernard.hay@designcouncil.org.uk by 10am on Friday 23 July specifying which work packages you are interested in applying for.
On receipt of your email, Design Council will provide pdf copies of relevant Design Economy research methodology papers to inform your application.
We will be publishing a further invitation to tender in September to undertake a survey of public sector use and understanding of design. Please bookmark this page and follow us on social media for updates.
