Finlay is an urbanist working to achieve more liveable, sustainable and inclusive streets and neighbourhoods.
He brings more than 25 years of experience in the field spanning the public, private and third sectors and founded his own award-winning practice Streets Reimagined in 2015.
He has wide-ranging skills and experience to enable positive change in urban settings. Working at a variety of scales from strategic master plans to street layouts he has particular expertise in engaging communities and stakeholders in collaborative design processes.
Recent projects have included a Street Spaces study for Stroud town-centre, an Access and Movement Study for Bridport, a community-led master plan for the Southmead community of Bristol and a re-design and re-activation project for Angel Place in the heart of Worcester city-centre.
Prior to his current role, Finlay held a senior position at the sustainable transport charity Sustrans, where he led a national programme of work empowering communities to reimagine streets as more sociable and liveable places.
Finlay is also a Recognised Practitioner of Urban Design and aHigh Streets Task Force Expert.
