Hazel creates simple visuals to understand and communicate complex ideas.

She works with front line staff, executive and board members, teams and individuals to:

• Distill complex information into one page ‘explainers’.
• Synthesise events and meetings ‘on the go’.
• Bring seldom listened to voices into the conversation
• Capture conversations faithfully and democratically.

Hazel’s career in service design, education and transformation design brings an understanding of organisational culture and change. Visualisation and sensitive facilitation can help get everyone on the same page.

Hazel has co-developed, co-designed and co-delivered service design programmes for museums, universities, the NHS and the Scottish Government. Her visual explainers were used by health and social care agencies and in Scottish Government guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic. Hazel is a V&A Dundee Design Champion.
