Lynne is an Architect and founded sustainableBYdesign, finalists in all three 2010-2012 BRE Passivhaus prototype Competitions.
Previously she was Sustainability Director at Broadway Malyan, and Associate Director at ECD Architects, where she was joint winner of the UK’s first MHCLG Zero CO2 housing competition. Lynne was RIBA’s Climate Change Ambassador for COP21 in Paris 2015, and Chair of their Sustainable Futures Committee.
Now a design consultant and Visiting Professor, she sits on local and national design review panels, and has authored and chairs policy review and research projects on sustainability and the built environment for UK governments and others. Her research and writing includes chairing and authoring recommendations from the Buildings Mission 2030 Taskgroup for CLC’s Green Construction Board, chairing the “Low Carbon Building Standards Strategy for Scotland” Expert Panel for Scottish Government; authoring and chairing projects for the Zero Carbon Hub; and chairing two reviews of energy efficiency regulations for the Building Regulations Advisory Committee.
Lynne is an RIBA Competitions Design Advisor and invited judge on many built environment Awards. She was awarded an OBE for services to Architecture in 2011, Chairs the Good Homes Alliance, and is a member of the UK’s Green Construction Board since its inception
