Linda Chandler is an Industry Advisor for Microsoft UK within the Local and Regional Government team with a focus on Smart Places.
Her day-to-day work involves shaping industry thinking on the digital transformation that is happening across our cities, towns and communities, working with both customers and partners. She is also the co-founder of a social enterprise developing a network of Community Coworking hubs on high streets in the UK.
For the previous 4 years, Linda operated as an independent smart cities advisor, working on a portfolio of projects across the pillars of built environment, energy and mobility following on from a 10 year career in Microsoft Services where she was the Smart Cities Lead both in the UK and latterly APAC. Prior to Microsoft, she was Chief Information Officer for the London Development Agency. Linda has experienced many facets of the technology industry in her 30 year career, having worked for systems integrators, large independent software vendors, an analyst firm and a number of start-ups.
Linda has been a RICS Asia Pacific World Regional Board Member and a Trustee of the London Transport Museum. She is currently a Tech London Advocate, an RSA Fellow and Member of the IET.
