Areas of Expertise
Interior and spatial design, Research, Spatial design strategy
I am an experienced Spatial Design Researcher specialising in the interdisciplinary strategic spatial field.
Thus far, my career has focused on utilising my creativity to deliver a sustainable environment to the public using cutting-edge research techniques. As a result, I have been awarded a UK Exceptional Talent visa for Design and Policy(endorsed by the Royal Academy of Engineering), which encourages international researchers. Prior to my recent arrival in the UK, I worked as a spatial design researcher at the Architecture and Urban National Research Institute of Korea(AURI). In terms of my qualifications, after studying Space Syntax at UCL and gaining inspiration from my BFA, MDes and PhD course-works in Interior/Spatial Design, I completed a Global PhD Fellowship.
I have been awarded the international design and research prizes whilst advising international organisations including West8, Hyundai, LG, Samsung, AIST(Japan), AURI(Korea), and The Royal Society on the key roles played by the researcher, educator and entrepreneur. My focus is on how the shapes of public spaces reflect and improve the appearance of modern society and the lives of the public. My mantra is ‘Design for everyone’, and I hope to create a wider strategy and framework for practical spatial design that includes everyone.
