I have a background in inclusive design and also co-design with disabled people.
My focus is on inclusive design in the wider sense not just disabled people but diverse communities. I have 20 years experience in the field of inclusive design. I currently work for UCL as their Access and Inclusion Manager and have previously held roles with City of London Corporation, DfE, GLA and LB of Camden.
I am currently President of the Access Association and sit on various advisory panels including for MHCLG, BSI Committee B559, London Legacy Development Corporation and Access @ the O2. My work focuses on making sure the physical environment as well as policies and procedures focusing on inclusive for all. I was brought on board as part of the advisory group for BSI’s COVID publication and more recently on their face covering standard looking at inclusion issues. I regularly undertake access audits and work with design teams to improve the accessibility of the built environment and give training on inclusive design.
