Areas of Expertise
Community and stakeholder engagement, Regeneration , Urban Design and placemaking
I have 18+ years of experience of mixed-use residential masterplanning projects.
Before joining Levitt Bernstein, I lived in Cape Town, South Africa, where I worked on several infrastructure-led projects for the City of Cape Town and public realm projects funded by the Mayor. I have developed several town centre commissions and complex regeneration schemes including the Aberfeldy Estate in Tower Hamlets; Eastfields Estate in Merton, the Brentwood Town Centre Design Plan and Design Guide in Essex; and the Rochdale Estates Frameworks and Town Centre SPD in greater Manchester. I also play a key role in consulting with stakeholders and local communities throughout the life of the projects.
I led the Green Belt research with London School of Economics (LSE), which focuses on the potential of the London Stansted Cambridge Corridor (LSCC), the study demonstrates that a regional green belt policy could deliver huge benefits for London and its wider region. As an individual I am driven and committed to the role of ‘placemaking’. With the pandemic on our doorstep, there is now a collective drive to help shape places which will not only last but also continue to thrive. There is an exciting challenge awaiting us as place-shapers, and through true collaboration, knowledge sharing and strong leadership, we can steer our clients to commit to good growth.
