Futures Thinking, Sustainability Education, Systems Thinking
As a sustainability strategy and communication specialist, I work closely with private sector organisations to first understand what sustainability means in their context, then translate it into new ideas and opportunities across business innovation and design.
I have over fifteen years of experience, using a blend of design thinking, cultural insights and empathy to make future concepts relatable and practical – from communicating internationally-acclaimed future design concepts to industry audiences of 25,000 at London Design Festival, to assembling and managing UK-wide teams for complex design projects serving FTSE100 companies.
I have created/curated powerful brand stories, thought-provoking design installations, immersive events and educational environments for industry leaders including 100% Design, British Council, Formica Group, Gaggenau, The Flava People, Quorn Foods and The Food People. with a number of projects attracting international press coverage, including NYT, ICON, Wallpaper*, Wired, Elle Decoration and Grand Designs.
With an interdisciplinary overview, and special insights into leadership culture alongside sustainability themes such as cross-sector collaboration and the circular economy, I have contributed to talks and events on sustainability, entrepreneurship and design for industry organisations such as 100% Design, IFE (The International Food & Drink Event), Creative & Cultural Skills, and Arts Council NI.
